How we started

Our Story

It started in Armando Soto’s own neighborhood. Growing up, he would get up in the morning to find neighbors asking him to take care of their yards. He was good at it, word spread, and one yard turned into many. He kept building on that reputation until he earned his California contractor license in 2019 and turned Specialty Landscape into the full design-build company it is today.

Armando stays personally involved in projects, the crews treat every property with respect, and the goal on every job is the same: understand what the customer is picturing and build it a little better than they imagined. It is why so many customers come back for a second and third project, and why the word that keeps coming up in their feedback is vision.

Along the way, the work has been recognized as Best of Central California by the Fresno Bee and rated among the region’s top landscapers, and it has earned 56 Google reviews at a 4.7-star average. None of that came from marketing. It came from doing careful work, one project at a time.

We design and build under one roof

The same team that designs your space installs the grading, masonry, pavers, turf, irrigation, and lighting. Nothing gets lost between a designer and a string of subcontractors, and one company stands behind the whole result.

We build from the ground up

Most of the Valley sits on heavy clay, so we treat grading, drainage, and soil prep as the foundation of every project. It is the unglamorous work that decides whether a landscape thrives or struggles a year later.

We would rather fix the small problem in front of us and earn your next project than sell you something you do not need. Straight answers and honest estimates are the whole business.
